Your daily program and our services
- 1st Day / Journey to Delphi
Begin your adventure with a scenic drive through Thebes, Levadia, and the picturesque village of Arachova, known for its vibrant multi-colored carpets. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Parnassus, Arachova offers stunning views before we continue to Delphi.
At the foot of Mount Parnassus, Delphi, once regarded as the center of the ancient world, awaits. According to Greek mythology, this is where Zeus's eagles met, marking the "navel of the world". Delphi was not only a religious and cultural hub but also the site of the renowned Pythian Games, second only to the Olympics in importance. Explore the Sanctuary of Apollo, including the Treasury of the Athenians and the Temple of Apollo, along with the nearby Museum, home to priceless artifacts from the ancient site.
The afternoon is free for you to explore or relax. Enjoy a traditional dinner and overnight stay in Delphi.
- 2nd Day / Central Greece & Kalambaka
After a leisurely morning in Delphi, depart for Kalambaka, passing through Central Greece and the fertile Thessalian Plain, known as the "granary of Greece". This scenic journey brings you to Kalambaka, a town nestled at the foot of the Meteora rock formations. Upon arrival, take a short tour of the village before settling in for dinner and an overnight stay in Kalambaka.
- 3rd Day / Explore Meteora & Return to Athens
Today, you’ll discover the awe-inspiring Meteora, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The name "Meteora," meaning “suspended in air”, perfectly describes the incredible monasteries perched atop towering granite rocks. Originally accessible only by nets and retractable wooden ladders, these monasteries house priceless historical and religious treasures. Among the 24 original monasteries, the Grand Meteoron is the largest and most significant.
Following your exploration of Meteora, we will start the journey back to Athens, making a short stop at Thermopylae to visit the Leonidas Monument, which commemorates the famous battle. Return to Athens in the early evening, with unforgettable memories of your trip through ancient Greece.
